Making your room in paper

Week 5 and 6
Scale: 1:10
Material: Paper

In my opinion, although it is easier and quicker to cut paper, durability-wise it is better to use a hard cardboard than paper when making a model of a simple room. As you can see in the pictures above, the model made in sheet-board is more rigid and has more structure to it whereas the model in paper looks like it needs more support.

Model 3: Using folding techniques

Week 5 and 6
Scale: 1:50
Material: Paper
Techniques: X-form span structures, pleated walls, lantern light sources, simple spiral chairs, basic pleats based table

I have improved my previous model of room by extending a living room to it. Moreover, I have changed the simple rectangular shaped room and walls into an interesting structure.
